Wheelchair Basketball – Competitive

Wheelchair basketball features expert coaching for athletes from beginner to elite, and we offer two youth teams. The Lil’Spokes, for ages 5 – 12, is a prep team. The Spokes, for ages 13 – high school, is the Varsity team that competes in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA).

Who Can Play

Our wheelchair basketball program is open to athletes of all ages 3 and up with a permanent lower limb disability (i.e. spinal cord injury, spina bifida, amputation, cerebral palsy, etc.).  Not all players use wheelchairs for everyday mobility.

Testimonial

Wheelchair Basketball is an aggressive, yet positive sport and is a remarkable way to acquire and make a   habit of teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. When I’m an adult, I hope to use my people skills and knowledge of the game to coach and encourage young athletes and people with disabilities.
