Athletes with physical disabilities or visual impairments are invited to join Sportable and Chesterfield County Outdoor Adventures for a unique Flatwater Kayaking Experience on Tuesday, September 10, 2:00-4:00pm at the Dutch Gap Conservation Area in Chester. Participants are encouraged to bring a family member or friend to join them for the event!
Sportable, the only adaptive sport club in Central Virginia, is proud to partner with Chesterfield Parks and Recreation, the leader in kayaking instruction for over 30 years, to provide athletes with physical disabilities and visual impairments with the opportunity to learn the basics of flatwater kayaking alongside the region’s most experienced staff.
Sportable is excited to partner with organizations such as Paralyzed Veterans of America (Mid-Atlantic Chapter), Wounded Warrior Project, Team River Runner, and McGuire VAMC Adaptive Sports to offer unique experiences like this in adaptive sports.

No experience necessary. Kayaks as well as all adaptive equipment will be provided.
