Your health and safety are our first priority. So, we’ve consulted with healthcare professionals, other industry leaders, participants, staff and more … and we are thrilled to welcome you back to limited in-person, outdoor programming. As we reopen, we will be continuing our commitment to care with a strategic, phased reopening plan. You’ll find the same dedicated and caring Sportable team you’ve come to know but things may look – and feel – a little bit different. Here are some of the steps we’re taking to keep everyone who participates in our programs safe:
Temperatures will be taken upon arrival. Athletes with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to participate. Symptom and travel screening questions will be asked prior to each session. Any person who has been exposed to someone with Covid-19 within the last 14 days will be required to stay home. If a person has had a case of documented Covid-19 infection, a doctor’s note will be required before returning to training.
Staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks and appropriate PPE. Athletes will be required to wear masks and appropriate PPE; however, will not be required to wear masks during physical activity. Alternative strategies may be used for those whom breathing, sensory or other disability-related concerns preclude wearing a face covering.
Athletes, volunteers, and staff will be required to maintain minimum physical distancing guidelines as mandated by state and local authorities. High fives, fist bumps, and handshakes will not be allowed. Athletes will be given designated meeting areas upon arrival and may be assigned staggered arrival times. Volunteers will not be permitted to assist with transfers. Should an athlete require assistance for transfers, he/she will need to bring a parent/guardian/care partner to the session.
Handwashing or hand sanitizer will be required when athletes and volunteers arrive, during the session, and before they leave. All equipment will be sanitized directly before and directly after use. Any shared equipment used during the session will be sanitized multiple times during the session.
As we work towards being able to serve everyone, with all of the programs you’ve come to love, we will continue to find ways to serve you in new, virtual ways.
