Public Statement Regarding Sportable

Dear Sportable Family,

As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on our community. Sportable’s revenues are 97 percent philanthropic—relying heavily on donations and grants. Without being able to provide programs at this time, this has placed a tremendous strain on our resources, leading us to the difficult decision to furlough a majority of our employees and take a temporary hiatus.

We are confident these difficult decisions will help sustain us as we navigate this time of uncertainty. We remain committed to bringing Sportable programs back as soon as possible.

We are aware of the hardships our Sportable athletes, volunteers and supporters are facing as well. However, if you can, please consider making a donation today at Sportable.org/donate.  Any amount will help ensure we will be back to creating opportunities and transforming lives in the near future. As well, thank you to everyone who has supported us during this difficult time. Rest assured your donations are what will get us back up and running, rolling and riding soon. We could not do it without your support.

While we are offline, we encourage you to continue to stay active. Our Coast 2 Coast Challenge will carry on during this time and I hope to “see you” in Virginia Beach, Panama City or Malibu in a few weeks!

Should you have any questions, please reach out to me directly at hunter@sportable.org or 804-340-2991.

Thank you for your understanding.  Please stay home and stay safe.
