Family Rafting Day

Adventure is for everyone with Beyond Boundaries and Sportable! Spend an afternoon on the James River, build new skills, and experience thrilling challenges through rafting!

The Family Rafting Day is designed exclusively for individuals with physical disabilities and visual impairments, ages 5+, and family members. The adventure day begins at Pony Pasture where athletes will be outfitted with helmets, personal floatation devices, and paddles before receiving a safety briefing from the most experienced adaptive rafting staff in RVA!

Then, tackle mild Class I-II rapids, including Pony Pasture, Choo Choo, and Mitchell’s Gut where you will enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife. Halfway through the trip, we will stop for a snack on the river before ending the adventure at Reedy Creek where a bus will transport you back to Pony Pasture.
