Chief Advancement Officer 

Job Description:  Sportable is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer to lead and implement all aspects of our development strategy, including our inaugural capital campaign. The Chief Advancement Officer joins Sportable during an unprecedented period of growth and opportunity and will play a central role in accomplishing our ambitious 5-year strategic plan. The ideal candidate will be a mission-driven expert, confident, and primed for transformational, rewarding work. They will also have a demonstrated history of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to lead teams to successful return-driven outcomes. The Chief Advancement Officer is a member of the organization’s senior management team, and reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Membership Coordinator

Job Description: Sportable is seeking a mission-driven Membership Coordinator to lead execution of strategic initiatives promoting social connection and well-being for individuals with disabilities served through sports, recreation, and wellness programs. This role involves executing a new social connection accountability program, managing social case management, and providing training and support to partner organizations across Virginia.

Reports To: Health and Wellness Outcomes Manager

Salary: $47,000-$50,000 annually

Category Type: Exempt. This is a full-time position. Some night and weekend work may be required.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-manage membership program including screening for eligibility and assisting with onboarding and retention initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the program team, create, manage and lead the Social Connection Accountability Program (SCAP) to embed and scale social connection strategies and tactics across all member programs.
  • Collaborate with consultants leading community feedback project to understand unique strengths and opportunities for fostering social connection through adaptive sports, recreation, and wellness activities. Create plan to address opportunities identified during this process.
  • Develop new Social Case Management (SCM) program to provide individualized resources, supports, and Information & Referral (I&R) to help new and existing participants further connect with the community and other resources.
  • Conduct program evaluations to track outcomes and make necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate screening and measurement processes to assess program effectiveness at individual and community level.
  • Provide training and support to coaches and staff involved in the programs.
  • Assist in expansion of virtual programming, including Sportable Wellness Initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations across Virginia, providing training, technical assistance, and support to empower the expansion of social connection through new sports, recreation, and wellness opportunities for people with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data related to social connection efforts in Salesforce database.
  • Routinely evaluate impact of SCAP and SCM programs; prepare quarterly grant reports outlining impact and areas to target for improvement.
  • Participate in program team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management or related activities is preferred
  • Significant experience or educational background working with people with disabilities is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with people from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Experience in developing successful partnerships with community organizations
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and work evenings and weekends at outreach events
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Proficiency in data management systems, Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with a team
  • Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading
  • Strong work ethic and high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to self-direct, take ownership, and see projects to completion in a timely manner
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
