Wheelchair Basketball
The National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) is comprised of
181 wheelchair basketball teams within twenty-two conferences. It was founded in 1948 and consists of men's, women's, intercollegiate, and youth teams throughout the United States of America and Canada. Sportable currently offers youth and adult wheelchair basketball programs. Sportable's junior's program is coached by Matthew Deans, a Division III athlete and Ed Largo, a Sportable Board Member and parent. The Adult program is coached by Ike Cook and Jimmy May, both Division III players. This team is open to those new to the sport as well as those who have an interest in competing regionally and nationally.
