Programs

Sportable's goal is to provide ongoing sports and recreation programs that help our athletes to enjoy an active lifestyle. you'll see our current list of programs below, however, based on member input, we are always considering new ideas. By becoming a member you will qualify for all programs, special events, and have a voice in helping shape the future of adaptive sports in our community. Fill out a member registration form and to let us know where your interests are in sports and recreation.

Adaptive Aquatics

Basic aquatic programming that will allow athletes to successfully learn a variety of aquatic skills in a safe aquatic environment.

Adaptive Kayaking

Adaptive kayaking provides health, healing, and new challenges for individuals with physical disabilities. Skills are taught through a step by step approach-beginning during pool sessions and progressing to quiet open flat water, eventually whitewater for the more adventurous types!

Adaptive Rowing

Air Rifle

A great opportunity for injured servicemen and women to test their accuracy again!

Archery

Anyone with an interest in testing their precision and accuracy-either from standing or from a wheelchair.

Power Wheelchair Soccer

Power Soccer is the first competitive team sport designed and developed specifically for power wheelchair users. Power Soccer combines the skill of the wheelchair user with the speed and power of the chair itself, to participate in an extremely challenging game similar to soccer.

Strength & Conditioning

Expand your limits and enhance your physical performance through a personalized training regimen-specific to the goals of your sport of personal interest – focusing on your abilities!

Wheelchair Basketball

Wheelchair Basketball is a sport based on the fundamentals of able bodied basketball with some adaptations to reflect the presence of the wheelchair, and to harmonize the different levels of disabilities players have.

Wheelchair Cycling

Cycling is a fully integrated sport, meaning athletes with disabilities participate alongside able-bodied athletes in weekday indoor spin classes and weekend outdoor rides and/or races. A variety of hand cycles and recumbent trikes are available for athlete use

Wheelchair Softball

FAMILY FUN DAYS-everyone gets in a chair and plays America’s favorite past time-followed by a picnic lunch for athletes and their family friends. No experience necessary!!!

Wheelchair Tennis

6 week sessions with local pro-a great opportunity to learn a sport that can easily be played against any able body person-the only rule change, you get a second bounce!
