Charlotte Cardinals

Charlottesville Cardinals Wheelchair Basketball Team The Charlottesville Cardinals wheelchair basketball team was formed in early 1980 by six local athletes in the Charlottesville area. The team was created to provide athletes with disabilities an opportunity for exercise and competitive recreation, and to educate the general public concerning the capabilities of individuals with disabilities.

Compliance Alliance: the ADA Compliance Specialists

Compliance Alliance is a facility management consulting firm specializing in the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessibility compliance. In addition to Expert Consultation, they provides property compliance inspections, architectural plan reviews, and have an excellent reputation for resolving difficult and complex issues. As well, they provide legal support and voluntary compliance assistance to companies wishing to avoid ADA non-compliance lawsuits.

East Coast Cripplers

East Coast Cripplers Our BlazeSports Quad Rugby program has given birth to a Quad Rugby Team that is going independent. The East Coast Cripplers is a developmental Quad Rugby Team and we are actively recruiting interested potential athletes. We practice on Friday evenings at the Indian River Recreation Center in Chesapeake, VA. We are also beginning a conditioning program that will meet in various areas on Sunday mornings. Currently the cost is $15.00 for the membership to the recreation center. The individuals do not know how to play Rugby, they just need to have an interest in learning and be able to push a manual chair.

Miracle League Association Logo

The Miracle League Association serves children between the ages of 3 and 19 who suffer from any physical or mental disabilities, which causes them to be excluded-whether intentionally or not-from conventional youth baseball leagues. The Miracle League builds a custom-designed field with a cushioned synthetic turf with the mission to offer accessible recreational opportunities for children with special needs so that they can participate in a team sport as a member of an organized baseball league.
